Miller Park Zoo

5K Stampede / 3K Stroll & Quarter Mile Critter Crawl
March 6, 2004

Race: 5K is accurately measured on Miller Park's grounds and surrounding neighborhoods, and electronically timed by the Bloomington/Normal Lake Run Club. The route is mostly flat with a few rolling streets. It will start and finish in front of the Miller Park Zoo. The Quarter mile Critter Crawl for children 10 and under will be held within park grounds at 9:30 AM followed by the 5K/3K run/walk at 10:00 AM.

Registration/Entry: 5K/3K fees are $18.00 ($16.00 for LRC members) if received by Zoo office by March 1, 2004, after March 1, $20.00 ($18.00 for LRC members). Critter Crawl participants are $3.00. Fees include spaghetti/bread lunch. All fees are non-refundable.

Check-In & Same Day Registration: 8:00 - 9:15 AM race day in the Zoo building. Sorry, no registration after 9:15!

Awards: Overall Male/Female, and overall Master Male/Female age 40 and over. Awards to the top three finishers in the following age brackets Male and Female: 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 and over. First 200 registered 5K and 3K participants will receive a T-shirt. All Quarter Mile Critter Crawlers will receive a medal for participating.

Refreshments: All 5K, 3K, and Crawl participants will be treated to a Spaghetti/Bread meal with other donated refreshments. Friends and family, who are not participating in the races, may enjoy the Spaghetti/Bread meal for $3.00 each, paid with pre-registration or at the event for $4.00.

Zoo: The Zoo will be open free to all participants after the race!

No headphones, strollers, rollerblades, or animals.
