The Downs Freedom 5K is an AWESOME, local, small town race, bringing the community together for a fun-filled day of running (or walking)! The ninth annual Come Together will be held June 29, 2019. This community event focuses on the fight against ovarian, breast and cervical cancer. The logo is a symbol of efforts in educating all women about these diseases and brings them under one umbrella of education, awareness, screening, and treatment. 100% of the revenue raised will stay in the Decatur community. By participating in this event, you, along with our sponsors, are helping us raise funding for not-for-profit organizations and their gynecological cancer programs.

The Running Over MSA 5K Run/Walk will be held on a cross country course, which will be partially through the prairies and partially through the woods.
100% of the proceeds from the Running Over MSA 5K will go to The MSA Coalition.
The Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) Coalition® is a 501(c)3 charitable organization devoted to a four pillar mission:
Supporting patients and caregivers affected by multiple system atrophy.
Educating patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals.
Financing and encouraging meaningful research toward identifying a cause and finding a cure for MSA.
Advocating for issues important to the MSA community, including creating greater awareness.
All paid Running Over MSA 5K participants will receive an event t-shirt, a lunch provided by Subway, and swag bag (while supplies last). Additional t-shirts and event decals will be available for purchase at the registration table the day of the event. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers and the top male and female finishers in each division (Youth – 18 and Under & Adult – Over 18).
A light lunch will be available for all Running Over MSA 5K participants. We will have Subway sandwich platters, drinks, and Subway cookies for all 5K participants.
Join the Les Turner ALS Foundation for the Strike Out ALS 5k and 1 Mile Run, Walk, & Roll at Guaranteed Rate Field on July 13, 2019. The Strike Out ALS event presents participants at any skill level with an opportunity to compete for those who can’t and race towards a cure for ALS.
Perfect for both competitive runners and families, the race features a timed 5k run beginning at 8:00am and an untimed one mile event starting at 9:15am. Participants start at the iconic home plate of Comiskey Park and finish with a lap around the warning track of the ballpark. Runners and walkers can stay for an after-party at the ChiSox Bar & Grill to celebrate finishing the race and enjoy food and drink specials.
The 5k fee is $40 and registration for the one mile distance is $25. Prices will increase on race day and registration will open at 7:00am. Free parking is available at Guaranteed Rate Field.

The 3.1 Mile run begins at AlWood High School; 301 E 5th Avenue, Woodhull at 8:00 a.m.
Early registration fee is $20.00 if received by July 13 and includes a performance t-shirt. After July 13 registration fee increases to $25.00 through the morning of the race; shirt sizes on race day are not guaranteed. Race day registration and packet pick-up, at the Park Pavilion south of the High School, will begin at 6:45 a.m. and conclude at 7:45 a.m. sharp.
The 5K course is flat and fast winding thru the streets of Woodhull and the rural countryside north of town.
Awards go to the top three finishers in each male and female age division.
The top male and female Woodhull finishers and top male and female Ridgewood Cross Country Alumni will also earn trophies.
Walkers are welcomed and are eligible for age group awards.
Trophies will be awarded in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 and over category.
Results, fruit, drinks, and snacks will be available after the race.
Free Family Fun Run (1/4-mile loop) for the little ones w/ free t-shirt and ribbon for the kids. Fun Run set to start at approximately 9:30 a.m. after 5K trophy presentations are completed.
The race kicks off a day of free events for kids in the park celebrating summer fun (this year including a sanctioned StrongMan Competition) including a pork chop lunch and ice cream social, topped off by supper on Main Street and a free admission street dance featuring Staggard the Band (8:00 p.m. to midnight) to round out the evening.
Race begins and ends at Veterans Park, 209 Front Street in Downtown Hudson.

Race begins at 8am. Packet pick-up and race day registration begins at 7:15 am at the Warrensburg-Latham High School (WLHS). Free t-shirt to all participants (while available), food and beverages provided after the event, water stop provided along the route. Route will be an out-and-back beginning and ending at WLHS.
