The Robin Vogel 5K run/walk is being held to honor and remember Officer Robin Vogel. Robin was a Decatur, IL police officer who was killed in the line of duty. Robin’s patrol vehicle was struck by a drunk driver on 10/1/05. Two days later on 10/3/05 she succumbed to her injuries suffered in the accident. The money raised from this event will go towards a scholarship in Robins name that will be given to a high school senior in the Decatur/Macon County area. Also, a portion of the money raised will be donated to the National Law Enforcement Fallen Officers Fund in Washington DC.
The Greater Community AIDS Project is hosting an AIDS walk and 5k run on 10/5/19. All proceeds to benefit local HIV/AIDS community. Purpose of this event is to spread awareness and education about HIV, remove the stigma associated with HIV, and help raise funds to support GCAP’s mission.

The Snyder companies are teaming up with Shriners Hospitals to bring you the annual Snyder Shriners 5k run-walk! Come lace up your shoes and join us at 1 Brickyard Drive to raise money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children, and maybe earn a medal, too! Bring your children or your pets (or both), and enjoy the after party which will include awards for each age division race winner, snacks, drinks, and even massages for participants!
