The Polka Pace Race is a 5K run through the streets of Havana, including a jaunt through our scenic Riverfront Park and down our historic brick streets. The race begins and ends in the downtown area on Main Street. The Polka Pace Race route is a U.S.A. Track and Field certified course.
Along with the Polka Pace Race there will be a 1mile Polka Dot Fun Run for children 10 and under.
2018 will mark the 36th annual running of the Polka Pace Race, the race is held during Havana’s annual Oktoberfest celebration, which offers an assortment of activities for the entire family. • Fun Run begins at approximately 9:00 am,
Timing by J3 Timing, Times will be posted at Awards following the race.
Awards will be immediately following the race under the tent on the corner of Main and Plum.
This event, featuring a 5k run and 1-mile family walk will benefit The Harmony Park Project. The Harmony Park Project is a partnership of local nonprofits with the purpose of purchasing safe and accessible playground equipment within Bloomington-Normal, IL. The mission of the Harmony Park Project is “to provide a safe and fun environment for children with different abilities to play together.” The creation of this park will benefit countless members of our community.
The TBK Quad Cities Marathon, a USATF certified course, captures the essence of our nation’s heartland with its consistent connection to the Mississippi River, amazing views, and Midwest charm.
Rated a fairly flat and fast course, it is a great Boston qualifier!
The race features one of the finest, most scenic river views in the country. It covers 5 races, 4 cities, 3 bridges, 2 states, and 1 island, all along the mighty Mississippi River.
The 26.2 mile run starts and ends at 1201 River Drive in downtown Moline, IL. The event benefits many worthy causes.

Enjoy a scenic trail run through Easterseals’ Timber Pointe Outdoor Center on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Run The Woods offers an 8k course, classic 5k course and a 1 mile walk/hike. Pick your distance and enjoy the signature pancake breakfast all while raising funds for the children of Easterseals!
|Every third Sunday in October is our Annual Oktoberfest 5K Run and 1 mile Fun Walk! This year it is Sunday October 21, 2018. This run/walk is a fundraiser to support BN Sunrise Rotary’s Youth Services and the CCHS Rotaract Club.
The run is a chip-timed 5k on the Constitution Trail from GE park, looping through Tipton Trails, and back to GE park. Blacktop trails the whole way.
At the end celebrate with free brats, Oktoberfest and regular beer (for those 21 and over), accordion music, and an awards ceremony with fabulous ceramic steins for the top three in each 5k age group (10 year groups). Food-and-beer-only option also available, so bring the whole family, even the non-runners! Costumes are sported by several participants, though there is not a costume competition…yet.
