We’re more than just a club -- we’re a community. Whether it’s race day or a casual Thursday night run with friends, our members get involved. We invite you to enjoy and contribute to our efforts. Let’s keep Central Illinois on the run!
Each race is the result of hours of hard work put in by many people. The Lake Run Club has lots of volunteer opportunities; from packet stuffing to the finish line crew, there’s something for everyone. We always need help, so this is a perfect opportunity for individuals, clubs, school groups or churches to give back to the community.
Free Group Runs
Tired of running by yourself? The Lake Run Club offers free group runs throughout the year to give members and non-members an opportunity to socialize and run together. Runners of a variety of paces attend and all distances can be modified.
Kids Run for Fun
Children ages 1-12 are invited to run on Friday evenings during the summer at Illinois Wesleyan University's track or Parkside Elementary's cross-country course. This family program is non-competitive and intended to help teach kids that exercising and running can be fun.
