Circuit Points

Circuit Rules

Being a Lake Run Club member automatically enrolls members in the LRC Circuit. Participating in races on the circuit calendar earns members points towards an award. Award winners collect their prize at the year-end awards banquet.

  1. Must be a Lake Run Club member.
  2. Participate (run, walk or volunteer) in circuit races to earn points.
    • Run/Walk – member must be included in the posted race results.
    • Volunteer – member must have signed up online (Signup Genius) or signed in on the event tracking sheet (on race day).
  3. Points follow the calendar year (January 1 – December 31).

Points

Members earn 1 point for participating (run, walk or volunteer) in a circuit race. *The maximum that can be earned by one member is the number of races on the circuit (i.e. 2014 = 18 circuit races).

*Theoretically a member could volunteer and run/walk in every circuit race, which would earn them twice as many points. The program is capped at the number of races on the circuit.

Rewarding

Circuit awards are based on a tiered system. The reward will increase with each tier (awards to be determined at end of the year by LRC Board). Award winners collect their prize at the year-end awards banquet.

  1. Bronze Level Award – participate in 1/3 of the circuit races (i.e. 2014 = 6).
  2. Silver Level Award – participate in 2/3 of the circuit races (i.e. 2014 = 12).
  3. Gold Level Award – participate in all of the circuit races (i.e. 2014 = 18).

Points Tracking

The self-tracking tool has been eliminated from the LRC website. The Circuit Points Coordinators will track member participation in circuit races by cross-referencing the LRC member list, circuit race results and volunteer lists.

  1. Points will not be available online in real-time.
  2. Points will be calculated on a quarterly basis.
  3. Points follow the calendar year (January 1 – December 31).
