Circuit Races

Approximately 20 races are included on the Lake Run Club Circuit Calendar. Historically, circuit races are selected on a variety of criteria, of varying distances, and are promoted by various running clubs located within short driving distance to Bloomington-Normal.

Race directors often ask for their races to be included on the circuit calendar. The races added to the calendar are ones which have run several consecutive years, with success and positive feedback from the runners and volunteers. To have a race considered for the circuit calendar, please contact President Tod Williamson.

Trail Run Series

Beginning in 2016, the Lake Run Club began offering a trail run series. This series features a number of off road trail runs consisting of varying distances from a number of running clubs within the area. The trail run series has a separate points system and awards based on participation from the trail run series events. Like the High Five races, the Trail Run series races will also count towards your LRC race circuit points. For more details regarding the Lake Run Club races, visit the calendar.

Circuit Awards

The Lake Run Club Circuit awards were designed to reward members who finish and volunteer in a variety of race distances, generally starting in March through December of the calendar year. Eligibility begins once your Lake Run membership has been processed. Award winners receive recognition, swag and other prizes at the End of the Year Banquet.
