Ride the Wave
The program begins February 21, 2018 at 5:30 pm at GE Park, 1750 General Electric Road in Bloomington.
All runs will take place at 5:30 pm on Wednesday nights at GE Park.

After you’ve caught the wave, it’s time to ride it. Ride the Wave is a fun and supportive 11-week program for members that begins in mid-February and runs through April. You’ll learn how to properly train your body to endure and enjoy longer runs, and at the end of the 11 weeks, you’ll be prepared for any of the Lake Run distances, including the 7K, 12K or half marathon.
- 11 weeks of instruction and training in preparation for the Lake Run 7K, 12K or half marathon

Sessions for Ride the Wave are held on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm. Runners are placed into pace groups, each with experienced leaders to coach and motivate you through the different weekly workouts. Ride the Wave is made up of both newcomers and previous graduates who come back to run with friends.
Runners must be a member of the Lake Run Club to participate in Ride the Wave. You will have the opportunity to join or renew your LRC membership when you register for Ride the Wave. Annual membership to the Lake Run Club is an additional cost and not included in the Ride the Wave fee.
