Get ready for a PR! This 5k course is about as flat as you can get. The race starts and finishes on Lincoln Avenue and is basically an out and back course. The race course was near the Schooners Eatery for many years, but was moved to its current location in 1994.

- Race Day Registration and Packet Pick-Up: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm at the Bloomington VFW Post 454

Group run/walk together for a 26.2-mile total distance, as one united relay team. Run/walk your own pace for the distance or time you choose. You may join the event at any of the marked check points where water, Gatorade, and some nutrition support will be available. The course runs mostly along Constitution Trail and Tipton Park. Join us for all or a portion of the event and choose how many miles you wish to run or walk with the group. A 261 FEARLESS Club Leader will be with the group at all times to help direct, keep the team on course, and cheer everyone on. TOGETHER, we will ALL reach a common goal of 26.2 Miles!
TIMING/RACING: Our club is committed to non-competitive, non-performance-based running and walking. This is an UN-TIMED, NON-COMPETITIVE group long run. We encourage all participants to enjoy the journey with your mates, regardless of pace or time or how many miles you plan to travel.

This inter-city race starts on Wood Street near Miller Park in Bloomington, east on Wood Street, then north on Main Street, through downtown Bloomington, turns west on Gregory, then north on the Constitution Trail to The Corn Crib in Normal. View Park to Park Course Map.
The race originated in 1985 as the Intercity 10K. After two years the race was changed to a 5 mile run. For years, the 5 mile run was a little longer than 5 miles. In 1993, the Lake Run club began organizing the event and made the 5 mile course accurate.
Packet Pickup and In-Person Registration:
July 3rd: 4-7 pm at Often Running
July 4th: 6-7 am at Miller Park Pavilion
Shuttle service is available between the Corn Crib and Miller Park. Prior to the race, buses will leave the Corn Crib beginning at 5:45 and ending at 6:15. After the race concludes, buses will leave the Corn Crib up through the Awards Ceremony.
