The Bridge the Gap to Health Race features a 5K, 10K, and half marathon for the competitive runner as well as a 5K leisure walk that start at 8:00 a.m. The Paul Arndt Kid’s Fun Run starts at 9:30 a.m. The race takes place in Quincy, IL. on May 16 in Clat Adams Park. The event has hosted a multitude of competitive runners over the years, and maintains a family-friendly atmosphere.
Packet pick-up is available Friday evening before the race on May 15 at our local university or on the morning of the race. We award medals to our top three overall finishers of each race as well as top males and females in each race within each age category. Details available on our website. We provide 5K and 10K registrants with a t-shirt and the half marathon race provides a full zip apparel item. All race participants receive access to post race food and an alcoholic beverage ticket for race completion. Participants can register on the morning of the race. Our race course crosses the Mississippi River into Missouri and returns back to Illinois. The half marathon portion of our race continues onto our Klingner Trail with has the largest pedestrian footbridge in Illinois. So join us to cover two states and cross two major bridges in this race.
